Diphenhydramine is reportedly a prescription medicine that one visitor tells us is sold at almost all pharmacies without a prescription needed. Diphenhydramine is not scheduled but is only approved for selling in pharmacies with associations, meds can be OTC or prescription only depending on concentration in a given form. Widely available over-the-counter in South Africa, brand name "Betasleep". Each Betasleep capsule contains 50 mg Diphenhydramine.
