I am an avid opiate user, but I have never really fucked with shooting things up, whether it be intramuscularly or intravenously. I've always had an aversion to needles, so I never tried.
Recently I came across some Subutex for rather cheap, so I decided to make a little investment. However, I could only get one of the 8 mg pills... I had to stretch it out as it had to last me over the next week.
It has been well over 4 years now since I had done anything like heroin, oxycodone, fentanyl, methadone, oxymorphone... Hell, even hydrocodone wasn't in my best interest. All I really mess with nowadays are things containing buprenorphine since I never get hooked on the drug, instead I'm able to use up a few pills and be able to go for weeks without it

So I decided. I did a ton of research and at first, I had thoughts of shooting the tiny piece (which equates to ~1mg) intramuscularly, but after much reading I have come to the conclusion that IM is much worse. I'm very horrified of intravenous injection, so I got ridiculous with keeping sterility. An unopened sterile container, a new, sealed TB syringe with a safety lock (to prevent contaminated needle sticks), a ton of alcohol swabs and a filter.
+0:00 - I crushed up the chunk of the pill, drew up about 0.5 mL of sterile water, drenched the powder in the sterile container, mixed it with the plunger, drew it back into the syringe using the filter, and found a vein. I have quite a bit of knowledge of medicine and human anatomy (among other things), so finding a suitable vein was simple. I used one at the base of my non-dominant hand for two reasons. First, it's big enough for the tiny 22 gauge needle, and it's much easier to hide and/or explain a tiny little mark on my hand as opposed to the bend of my elbow. I pulled back until I saw the flashback of blood, pushed half of the solution in, drew back again to ensure I was in the vein, and pushed in the rest.
+0:01 - Not even 30 seconds later, I have that warm, fuzzy, comforting feeling that opiates give me. I noticed my skin was bulging just a bit, but I figured it was just from the trauma of finding the vein. I'm very itchy (which is kinda nice), very warm and very sleepy... It's nice that I'm warm, considering it's the middle of winter and it's close to single digit temperatures out there.
+0:30 - Laying about, listening to music, and it honestly feels just as strong as it did when I shot up. Knowing buprenorphine, this shit is gonna last for HOURS, and I really don't want to sit around and wait to update this.
In conclusion, while it is very well possible to inject IM/IV Subutex/Suboxone, I really REALLY wouldn't recommend it. I got faded rather quickly, but I still have to say that I prefer insufflating them. Please, save your veins. Save yourself. Be responsible.
AN: Please note, I DO NOT condone my actions, and I WOULD NOT recommend putting ANYTHING into your veins unless it should be there. It was my first (AND LAST) time doing so.
