Calea zacatechichi

I've only had one lucid dream in my life in which I was totally in control, and I loved it. I've tried to reignite that amazing kind of moment for the two years since I woke up from it, and my attempts have led me to the world of calea zacatechichi. Going on around maybe about two months of experimenting with it, here's what I have to say about the stuff:

HOW I TAKE IT: Capsules. Smoking it in combination with taking capsules seemed at one point to have a better effect than just the latter, but then I got the same (good) effect (reported below) just from the capsules. The smoke tasted kinda like K2 “incense,” so okay, but the first time I tasted it tinctured, I went from a second of confusedly thinking, “It really is as bad as its reputation,” to feeling very, very sorry for my mouth. Since then, I've just put the tincture in empty capsules and quickly downed those when I use the liquid form of the stuff.

INDICATIONS? My dreams have not been markedly more vivid on average than before I used to do calea zacatechichi. (It's not that they're usually bright and clear, only that they're not more often brighter and clearer than sometimes before.) Neither have they been directly more lucid. Now I didn't know how a drug could help induce lucid dreaming anyway, but I can say this stuff has promoted it in me inasmuch as it does seem to have markedly intensified my rate of having dreams within dreams (one time I had four false awakenings in a 1.5-hour period of sleep), and I think I always realize one layer or more down that I'm not awake (why I realize this I'm not sure, although maybe it's because I'm remembering that I'm on the drug at the time). So, in a qualified way, I'd say that yes, calea zacatechichi can work as suspected.

INTERACTIONS? However, doxylamine sleeping tabs seem to affect my dreams, too, and my use of those off-and-on overlapping my tests on calea zacatechichi could account for some of the distortions in my dream state that I've been experiencing as of late. High-level exposure to aeriform THC sometimes seems to me to seriously limit dreaming, and I don't have solid evidence to the contrary in the case of exposure along with calea zacatechichi use.
