DOSE:
  buccal Pharms - Fentanyl (patch)
BODY WEIGHT: 198 lb
[Erowid Note: Because opiate use can lead to significant tolerance (requiring higher doses for the same effects), the dose used by a first time user is significantly smaller than that used by a regular user. It can be extremely dangerous to choose ones dose on the basis of the amount taken by someone else. Overdoses of opiates can be fatal.]
I fractured my pelvis two weeks ago, which sucks because I am an opiate addict and was down to 13 mg of Methadone when it happened. So that detox went out the window (no biggie because I HATED having to drive to the clinic every day and wake up at 5am on Sat and Sun to get there because they were only open till 8am. Yeah....I could of gone in later, but I always just wanted to go in, get it done, roll home and go back to bed). In a way I wasn't too upset because liquid methadone made me sick anyway.

So before I went to my Doc and found out about the fracture (it was way too swollen to tell at first). I just told him I had fallen down the stairs, which was the truth, and he gave me a prescription for 60 10/325 Norco. That didn't even put a DENT in my pain, but it allowed me to suffer no methadone wd's. So, I went back a few days later (my back was even MORE swollen, so still no idea about the fracture) and told him I needed something stronger so he prescribed me 60 Endocet 10/325. Well, those worked better, but still, as the swelling was going down, I could start to feel the bones moving in my lower back. Now I knew something was broken, so back again I went and told him that I was having to take 10 Endocets a day for the pain. Thanks to the methadone, I didn't experience any euphoria, but it helped with the pain, and I didn't really care as long as the pain wasn't kicking the crap out of me.

At that visit he was able to inform me of the fracture and got an MRI set up for me (by the way, I have no health insurance AND I'm unemployed, so by this time I had spent $305.00 for the Norco, Endos and Soma which I HATE that crap! It almost made me fall like 5 more times and it sucks....Well for me, it sucks. Others may love it, but I have no idea how you can get high off that stuff. It knocks me right to a 2 hour sleep and then I wake up with pain. YAY! And the MRI will set me back $599.00). So once he found out about the fracture, he wrote me up a script for the Mylan Duragesic Patch. Quantity was 10, to be take every 72 hours. So I drop off the script, and forgot to ask the price, so I called back....$405.00 friggin dollars??? WOW! I had just gotten my tax return back so I filled it, and picked it up. I had ran out of the Endo's about 5 hours before I got the patches. So, I strapped one on, and effed it up because I used 3 band-aids to keep it on. I was not aware you can't use band-aids to hold them in place, so there went patch #1.

I strapped on patch number 2 in a different place, but I was now suffering from the Endo withdrawal and the patch takes 5 hours to work. Great. So, I waited for 3 hours and had had enough of the withdrawal. I took the patch off, cut it into 4 pieces, and chewed 1, then 2, then 3, then 4! Well, NOW my friends I am feeling pretty good. I guess my opiate receptors were not as downregulated by the methadone and 3 years of abusing any Opiate I could get my hands on. Man, it was great! I got that Euphoria again which I had so dearly missed for so long. So, I cut another one into 4 pieces and chewed 2 of those, and that is where I am at right now, and WOW I feel good. I am excited to go to bed and enjoy the wonderful opiate sleep I have missed for so long. It's exciting! So no more sticking these things on for time release. I'm gonna chew these bad boys till there gone, then go back to my doc in a couple of days, and get put back on the Endo's to save cash.

This is a HEAVY hitting Opiate. If you are Opiate naive don't even approach this stuff or your family will be picking up a coffin for you. And no, I'm not joking. I just happen to have a HUGE Opiate tolerance. So far these are better than the old 80 mg Oxycontins (old formula).

That's it! Gonna be a good day tomorrow!
