The first drug I ever did was booze, I use to love the hard stuff, then in some time it grew to pot. I love weed still to this day, just relaxing. That phase went on for awhile up till I got into high school I guess. Then I just started doing everything from prescription pills to thizz (MDMA), My best friend -- well kind of my only friend cause everyone hated us cause we were druggies (man if they only knew) -- well she was a tweeker by that yes I mean she did meth, snorted it, smoked it, whatever. I always told her it was nasty and she told me 'I didn't know what I was talking about, cause I wasn't addicted to anything' and that was true, unless you count cigarettes. I was getting messed up every night of the week, go to school rolling balls, drunk, come home and fall right into my bed, pass out and repeat it all over again the same day.
That all went on till the summer of my sophomore year, then I was into xanax alot, not addicted though. I quit those the night I lost 200 dollars and didn't remember. I also tried heroin that summer, I only did it twice because alot of my friends were hooked on it and I thought it was gross, even if the high was AMAZING. But that was still in my 'I'll never get addicted to anything' stage.
It was my sophmore year when I got introduced to percs (that's an opioid, for those of you who don't know) but the people doing them weren't popping them or snorting them. They were smoking them. Yeah that might seem weird, how do you smoke a pill you ask? Same way you smoke heroin. It didnt catch my attention though, I did it a few times and it was amazing but never got into them.
That was until the begining of my junior year. I was head over heels for this guy, he was staying at my house that night. He asked if I wanted to get one so I said sure, not knowing that just saying yes that one time would ruin my teenage life. Me and him starting doing 'em every weekend, then every few days then every day then before we knew it were stealing, robbing people, and doing anything so we could get or fix. His and my paychecks would be gone within 2 days spending them only on percs. We were doing at least 5-6 a day, and when they're $20 each that can get mighty expensive. And that's all my life was about for about 7 months. I really did hit rock bottom and I didn't even know it.
On january 8th 2011 I mixed percs and xanax together, don't ask me why. I had a breakdown, slit my wrists my boyfriend freaked and told my parents. The next day I was sent to detox. Let me just say the withdrawals aren't worth it. You sweat when your cold, you can't eat, can't sleep, you puke at the most random times, you're pissed about everything, you cry, you don't want to move but then again you can't sit still and time goes by very, very slow. I was there for almost two weeks, and after that I went to drug classes three days a week for three hours, that went on for ten weeks.
It was when I was in there, when I finally realized the way I've been living for the last 4 years isn't right. Nothing but disgusting. I turned into the person I said I wouldn't, to this day the thought of relapse is on my mind just knowing I can get it whenever I want, but then I think of where I was and how ashamed I am with that. So now here I am, me and that boyfriend of mine are still together, even through all this. We're both clean me, 92 days and him 86. Never let anything control you.
