Melatonin Experiences and Dosage Intuition

As far as dosage goes I’ve used everything between 3mg and 37mg in oral form.

I can confirm that for my personal experiences “lucid” dreaming is not an effect, but an increase in what I can only describe as realism / more emotional dreams. I do not recall an incident where I truly lucid dreamed when using melatonin.

I find it hard to gauge the difference between the different amounts of melatonin I’ve taken but I find that using 9-12mg gives me the best results. I find no use in using more because I don’t get any increase in the effects after that.

At this point I also want to make clear that what I find as an increase in effect is really just likelihood of me having a “real” dream. And I can personally confirm that melatonin does indeed create these circumstances, while under the effects of melatonin I can remember the only dreams I’ve been able to remember in my life. And they are indeed great.

I also want to point out the risks on melatonin. I find it appropriate to never take it more than once a week in order to curb dependence.
