Ambien is an odd drug. If I take it to sleep, it will perfectly serve it's purpose. If I take it not to sleep, I forget what sleep is. After taking 3-10mg pills I slowly began to feel a slight high, dissociative feeling. I feel in control for a time, then slowly slip into another world of waking dreams. I experienced mild open eye hallucinations and intense closed eye. While on Ambien I feel I get closer to my emotions, and can express them in a much more meaningful (as well as dramatic) way.

Perhaps it's more accurate to consider the trip an emotion booster. Many times I feel amazing, and other times I sink into the sadness that I didn't know I had.

Ambien is also a powerful memory eraser. Many trips I don't remember at all, and have only re-experienced through pictures or recordings. Ambien is dangerous, both emotionally and physically. But it also has very powerful emotional healing abilities.
