Be aware that methadone at a dose of 150mg is a lethal dose for someone who doesn't take it every day. Seriously, do not match this dose.

I take methadone daily, so I don't get so much of a high as a relief of anxiety and some sopor as the drug reaches peak blood plasma 3-4 hours after I take it. I take .5mg clonazepam TID. The trip out is always more satisfying than the ride back, but this gives the user a sort of gentler let-down than alprazolam in my experience.

Considering this, I took my .5 mg of clonazepam, then went to my clinic. I took my 150 mg of methadone, and returned home. I ate an 800mg tab of Skelaxin (metaxalone) with fatty food because I've read that bioavailability of metaxalone is increased upwards of 100% (doubled) with a fatty food.

So, in spite of having recently woken, I began to melt into ease and comfort. The antagonism of the world, the human condition, the festering obsession I have with the meaning of the Universe and life and my maimed sense of brotherhood with the fellow primates that teem over in my city, vulgar, arrogant, piggish, and ignorant all fell to the wayside. That robe of psychic nettles was cast off and I felt at ease, breathing slow and deep, feeling light and buoyant, safe and silent. My eyelids seduced each other and embraced with ease, and I, who so rarely gets the nod, fell into that state of dreamy reverie.

The metaxalone complemented the other CNS depressants well, and keeping my doses low avoided any overpowering slug that would knock me out. As I understand it, metaxalone comes out in urine as unidentified metabolites, so my methadone clinic should have no qualms with me. My clinic knows I'm on a clonazepam prescription and why, and my psychiatrist knows I'm on methadone. It's a lucky state to be in, and it has taken a while to get to.

I would compare metaxalone to soma (carisopridol) but for whatever reason I prefer it. I imagine my clinic does urinalysis for carisopridol, but unsure. Either way, it's the first time I've mixed a muscle relaxer, my clonazepam, and my methadone, it's a great addition without crossing any lines I wouldn't want to.

The feeling is similar to after you swim for a mile, or run a half-marathon. A comfort that we all deserve sometime. Still, the effect is lucid and I would be able to carry on conversation with my girlfriend and she would not notice. I'm unsure about sexual side effects for metaxalone, but I know that it takes a while for me to adjust to methadone and recultivate my sexual appetite and even functionality.
