I tried dilaudid (hydromorphone) for the first time a few weeks ago, and instantly I could see why this stuff was addictive. I was prescribed it by my doctor for when my chronic back pain basically becomes too painful to deal with. This drug works. Simple as that.

I'm one of those people where my body naturally needs more of 'x' to be able to feel the drug work. This is one of the first pain killers I've had, besides from oxycodone, vicodin, and other minor prescriptions.

I first started out the night with a 2mg tab pill (taken orally). I felt a little different around 45 minutes later, but didn't feel drastically different. It basically just felt like I was a little light headed.

After the first hour, I took another one orally. 30 minutes later I still felt nothing. Since my overall goal was to feel this pill's 'rush,' like I saw everywhere online, I decided to take two others over the next 30 minutes (making that a total of Four 2mg tabs within two hours).

Everything after that seemed to be blissful and euphoric. I simply felt 'nothingness.' I did not experience a sudden rush, or anything. It seemed to creep up on me and then BAM: I felt completely different mentally and physically.

I remember standing up at one point and feeling like I was extremely intoxicated, and I couldn't walk for more than a few feet without stumbling or knees buckling. After I tried walking, I ended up getting back into bed. After getting into bed, I smoked 1-2 bowls of medical marijuana (top quality) and it all just got better!

After this point I was feeling amazing. I felt nothing.. I knew I was sitting down but it felt as if I was on a cloud and floating because I couldn't feel myself actually sitting down. I popped my wrists and couldn't even feel that happening. During some time, I racked another 2mg tab, and was in heaven for the remainder of the night - simply felt amazing and nothing at the same time. It had been a stressful week with school and drama, and it felt as if all of my problems simply melted away!

I remember having the sudden need to go to sleep around 5-6am, and I woke up around 10am feeling refreshed, new and painless.

I woke up the next morning with at least 150 extra songs that I had downloaded to my library from YouTube, but I have hardly any recollection of downloading them all.

To sum everything up, it was a couple of hours of blissful 'nothingness.' I understand why people like this pain killer, because it makes everything else seem to go away, including the pain. Its a hard 'high' to describe. I can almost describe it as being on oxycodone, but it's still MUCH more intense than that.


NOTE: this might have been a personal reaction, but during the night I took a few sips of Dr. Pepper that made me vomit within 1 minute of consuming. I figured it wasn't directly the dilaudid's fault, but rather the carbonation in the drink. I tried having another sip an hour later of the same drink, and vomited again.
