I would never describe myself as an addictive person. I've tried all sorts of substances in the past, from pot to cocaine and back again. Never have I tried a substance I felt overwhelmingly compelled to try again, nevermind the consequences. I'm even prescribed adderall and don't feel the need to take it everyday. Last night I most definitely found my 'kryptonite.'

I got my hands on some Oxycodone HCl pills yesterday, and looked them up online only to find they were the infamous Oxycontins...the pills labeled the next best thing to Heroin by suburbian housewives and rich high school kids everywhere. Hillbilly heroin, right here in my hands.

I have had vicodin and hydrocodone before, at pretty steep dosages, so I thought 4 or 5 oxy's wouldn't be enough to cause severe damage, least of all overdose. So I ground them up and snorted line after line, rail after rail. The high was indescribable. I felt so peaceful and the euphoria wasn't anything I had known before. I couldn't feel my arms or legs, and soon enough my breathing became shallow and short. Once and again, I experienced what they call Apnea, where I completely forgot to breath. It sounds scary looking back on it now, but then it was just par for the course, a small price to pay for the feeling of complete Nirvana.

Eventually I fell asleep and luckily woke up.

I'm still dragging, and this is about 12 hours later, but all I can think about is how I am going to get my hands on another couple of those awesome little pills. I guess I've finally found my drug of choice.
