It was a rainy Friday afternoon on which this experience took place. My friend G and I decided to eat some ambien, which he had a large supply of courtesy of his parents, and since we both had previous experiences with ambien, bump some percocets he also had. Typically we would not resort to these measures to have a good time on Friday, since we are/were both daily marijuana smokers, but after being arrested and be subjected to weekly urine screens, we didn't think it was safe to enjoy ourselves yet. A little background information,

I am 16 and have experienced psychoactives including amphetimines, alcohol, cannabis, salvia, psilocybin containing mushrooms, DXM, Methylphenidate, and many opiates. I am not an idiot and do not blindly go into using any subsatance, I always erowid it before hand and know what Im getting in to. I enjoy using drugs for many reasons, but Ill get to the point here...

Sitting in the basement of G's parents house (they were not home) we each ate two 10mg ambien bars, mine on a relatively empty stomach, and three 5mg percocets (512's). I have an extremely fast metabolism and was feeling off baseline within 15 minutes of ingestion. I was feeling the usual wave of tiredness and empathy that I enjoy from the ambien, and the slight bliss of the 512's. As we continued playing video games, G and I were continually talking openly about anything really, and decided to go smoke a cigarette outside.

It was still rainy, so we stumbled out under his old tree fort to stay dry. At this point, we were both pretty 'fucked up,' a phrase I do not use to describe the effects of drugs often, but this situation merited the phrase. I felt like my vision was being pulled down diagonally, not unlike my vision is on high doses of DXM, but not as cool. It is hard to describe what else happened, since I remember close to nothing because of the ambien. My cigerette felt soggy and gross, and I did not feel good anymore, as I had when I was inside. My vision was swimming, but not in a good way, and I understood why people thought they experienced hallucinations while on ambien. I was not hallucinating in the slightest, my vision was just fucked up, and it was not anything like I've seen while tripping on mushrooms.

It was not good, and at T+1 hour, I felt nauseated, which is extremely rare for me, since I don't tend to fell nauseous coming up on mushrooms or DXM. G was now pretty messed up too, and we wandered inside to sit down and get a drink, and hopefully our experience would improve from the place it was now.

I got inside his house and mumbled that I had to use the bathroom, and stumbled in there. As I stated earlier, my memory of this experience is really cloudy, but I think I stood in his bathroom for about 5 minutes, finally ducking into the toilet and throwing up. I think it was mostly a yellowish mucus substance but I have no idea. After getting up I realized I felt about 10 times better than I had previously, and washed my face and mouth out. I told G, who was laying down looking VERY ill that I had puked and that I felt better. I was now enjoying the opiate buzz combined with the Zolpidem. G left to get some food and drinks and I listened to some music on my ipod, some Jimi Hendrix, one of my favorite artists and role models. thinking about how Jimi had ODed on a sleep inducing substance also. Music perception was slightly different I remember, but nothing special like when tripping on mushrooms or stoned on cannabis. I say this because I love listening to music and it is my number one thing to do when experiencing any psychoactive. G came back and I realized what time it was and told him I had to depart, since I had plans with my girlfriend soon. Since my drivers license was suspended, he had to drive me to her house, which was relatively close, within 5 miles. Like I said earlier I am not idiot, and I realized driving while still feeling the effects of the substances wasn’t the best idea, but he did alright, and got there and back safely.

In summary, Zolpidem and Percocet is not a great combination, and Zolpidem is general is not for me. I enjoy being stoned much more, and defiantly enjoy tripping out much more. The combo seemed to have irritated my stomach and puking wasn’t much fun. I have not taken ambient since this experience, but I would take it again, it’s just not very fun in my opinion. Opiates are best enjoyed by themselves, or with some good cannabis in my opinion, not along side the powerful little beast of Zolpidem.
