I want to report about my experience using meth for about 3 years. As a rough overview I will point out, how I developed a serious CHRONIC psychosis by methamphetamine.

As a chemist, I always had enough supply to feed my addiction to methamphetamine. At first I snorted one or two lines for an evening (one or two times a week), went out and danced the whole night, visited friends or cleaned up my room in perfect manner. Afterwards I stopped use for some days.

But soon, my habit changed: one day, I read an internet article about smoking meth. As a drug-experimentor, I was immediately interested. This day, I will NEVER forget! After the first toke, as the rush kicked in, I thought: this is it, the drug I missed my whole life. From know on, this drug became a centred part of my life. I did it in the morning, during work, while I was driving a car, even in a hospital, and so on. Soon the only noticeable effects were: coloured patterns, blurred visions. The drug had no awakening effect on me any more, even when high-dosed.

One evening, the psychosis started: I stood in front of a mirror in the bathroom and I got a strange feeling, which threw me down to the floor. I had the delusion that a parasite, which was a simple hair in the washbasin, has jumped into my mouth and from there into my body. From now on, I was strongly convinced to have parasites, which caused me to visit numerous doctors. At the same time, I heard a voice in my head: “Man, are you stupid! You smoke this shit (sorry for the word), I am not pleased about it. YOU will regret this!” And not enough, I even heard god, the devil and Hitler during my following drug escapades. Additionally, I had numerous visions, felt hunted for about a year.

Soon after this, I stopped using meth. I mean I slowly was able to stop it, but the voices remained. Even as I write this…

This stuff is prone for causing a psychosis, when used in larger amounts. This psychosis is not fun!
