I take Zolpidem per prescription for 3 years now, as I have had trouble with sleeping for more than 20 years. My usual dose is 10mg per night.

At first, I had effects of double-seeing, which was kind of funny, and soon after this experience, I was sleeping very nice.
One day, after a night shift and I had not to go to work after this day, I thought 'Okay, if you wanna really sleep for hours and hours - take more!'.

And I did. So I took two and a half pill = 25mg.

I've done it several times, and my experiences change from time to time.
I had a time, when I didn't sleep so fast, so I got up, still believing that I am normal. But I had severe problems to walk without crashing into the furniture, and my husband sent me back to bed right away, cause I acted like a zombie, as he said. My only memory of this is, that I thought 'Why is he so upset?', but I went to bed (accompanied by my hubby) and slept in right away.

Another time I had to vomit, I did make my way to the toilet, but it all felt very strange. It was, if I would stand behind me and watching someone else doing this. It wasn't me.

I always feel very light-headed when I take Zolpidem, no matter if the usual 10mg or my 'special-sleeping-day' 25mg. Things seem to be funny, I talk like someone who is drunk. And the memory loss of my 25mg Zolpidem is really scaring sometimes . I also have motoric problems with that dose.


I can't do the 25mg very often, as I only get my recipe every three weeks for 20 pills - and I think, it's better that way.
