The Stomach
Codeine

DOSE:
3 tablets oral Codeine (pill / tablet)
BODY WEIGHT: 205 lb
Having back problems, I was prescribed codeine three months earlier before this incident. I always got great trips out of taking my prescribed doses of codeine. However, I eventually developed a tolerance and decided I would try twice my regular dosage.

The first hour was waiting, as usual when taking codeine for me. Then it hit me hard. I felt the most powerful euphoria ever in my shoulder and neck region. This continued for 3 hours and eventually I fell asleep.

I woke up the next day with the most horrible aching stomach ever. I felt like vomiting which I ended up doing in hope that these pains would go away. The whole day was filled with pain in my stomach. Laying down didn't help. I only felt relief when I went to the bathroom. It almost came to a point of having to call the hospital and tell them I overdosed on codeine.

Nowadays I usually have the same symptom except less intense. I have developed ways of controlling them too.

I found the following helped:

- Drinking bottles of water.
- Taking a crap.
- Stay sitting down, and try to stand up as little as possible.
- Watching television will take your mind off the pain.
