This was my first time trying ecstasy. My friend T and I decided to flip at a rave, which was somewhere in the middle of a forest in washington. We arrived at about 5:00pm that day after 5 hours of driving (the party we were going to go to got busted up). There were two areas, and people were spinning some nice music. Not too many people were up at this point. You could see them all passed out from the night before in various places around the camp.

We set our stuff up, cooked some food and smoked a little pot while we were waiting for night to fall.

Our source was a trusted friend of T's, he gave us each a pill that was blue with a little hammer imprinted on it. They were called, yep, blue hammers. He said they were impure, and called them 'crack pills.' this worried me a bit, but he said that those kind were more fun anyway. We flipped at about 9:00 pm, I think. I'm not really sure because I wasn't very interested in time at this place. I was more interested in the experience, this being the first time I'd ever been to a party like this.

The first noticeable effect was that it took away my marijuana high completely. I felt energized, sort of like I just woke up. I was feeling little bits of euphoria here and there, not unlike what I feel every day. T was having a more profound experience than I at this point, and was 'so horny that he wanted me to get out of the tent in case he tried something.' I laughed at him and continued to follow him around.

Nothing was really happening to me for the first hour, so I decided to go dance for a while until it really hit me. I was having a pretty good time dancing and watching all the other raver kids move around, in particular this asian guy who wasn't wearing anything but pants and a blanket. After about a half hour of dancing I decided to go investigate where I should get some water. That's when it hit me.

While I was walking back I began to experience mild visuals, and difficulty telling where I was in relation to my environment. The body high was also growing. What followed was very fun.

I felt very jovial, social and uninhibited. I walked in between the two areas where people were spinning a lot, feeling very curious always about what was happening at them. The music felt great, and so did my clothes. At one point I took off my shirt and just had my sweatshirt on, open in the front. I really liked playing with it and moving it against my body.

Everyone around me was fucked up on something, which made everyone very fun to interact with. I met a girl named patty who was playing with some figurines and a little candle next to the dj's table. I was fascinated by the things. I asked her where she got them, and she was very happy to explain everything to me. Later I saw her firedancing. She was pretty good. Everything was extremely fascinating to me. I felt like a little kid again. Anything glowing, sparkly or fuzzy was just great at the time.

I went over to the second area and there was a bowl of little plums sitting there for people to eat. What a joyful thing, I loved that so much. I ate a bunch of them. Then some kid fell out of a tree. I found that very funny.

Overall, the night was very fun. I had a great time dancing, freaking out and talking to people I didn't know. The comedown, however, was a bit harsh, and probably the main factor in preventing me from trying it again. I felt pretty fried for a few days after.

Definitely something to try though!
