Upon discovery of the presence of harmala alkaloids growing locally within the passiflora incarnata vine, I ventured to find how the typical psilocybin trip differed when under the influence of the maois. By themselves, the leaves and vine of the passionflower produce a long-lasting subtle calm for up to one day, and yes I feel it when I wake up. A deep sleep often presents itself after six hours after preparing a tea with the ten leaf section (two foot cutting with ten leaves attached) and the juice of one lime, or another citrus, to make more available said desired alkaloids. But this calm, in combination with a decent handful of fungi, is another thing altogether. There is no rapid crescendo of waves rippling through my body as I work to peak, but instead the trip is stretched out long like a day of valium. The trip is in no way mitigated by said harmalines, but instead, it is spread more thoroughly over the course of ten to twelve hours. After which a deep sleep ensues.

Timing: To inhibit my mao receptors properly before the fungi is consumed, I drink the passionflower tea one hour before the fungi.
