I developed a strong fear (but not quite a phobia) of flying, after flying thtough a couple tropical storms in small planes in the Caribbean. In the few years after that, I didn't have the chance to fly a lot, so I didn't notice the semi-phobia for a while. When I did, I almost broke my wife's hand during take-off- I was gripping so hard. After a very unpleasant flight, I vowed never to fly sober again. In my travels around the Caribbean, I had to get stinking drunk to get on the planes, but the result could be messy, and I almost got thrown in jail in Barbadoes for arguing why they wouldn't accept my landing form filled out in pink ink.

Anyway, I wanted somethihng else to calm my nerves, that would not in itself land me in jail (ie. Pot) or make my act like an alcoholic (ie. 20oz of Gin).

A relative of mine who has clinical depression and the presciptions to prove it, offered me a 1/4 of her/his 2mg pill shortly before I was to fly again. I took it and it was incredible. Not icredible like living the 'Pink Elephents on Parade' sceen from Dumbo, but incredible in how sublte it was. I felt almost no 'buzz' aside from being slightly drowsy. But my anxiety was completly gone.
Now I am no expert on pharmacutical drugs (compare the drug choices and longevity of William S Boroughs jr and SR.), but I have drank my share in my time, and my Pot smoking has helped to bolster the BC economy, so I do have some experience with B.L.C.

This clonazepam worked great for anxiety. In terms of a fun drug to take for shits and giggles? Not so much.
