After dealing with depression for months leave from work as a pilot and decided to deal with the problem. I went to the DR. and he put me on Paxil, a SSRI for depression and anxiety. I was put on 25 mgs and was sent home and told to relax and let the paxil kick in. I wasn't told about any side effects, just the paxil would take a few weeks to kick in.

After a few days the began to feel crazy zaps (strange electrical impulses passing through my head, Extereme anxiety, loss of appetite, intense insomnia, a nasty rash on my arm and terrible nightmares anytime I managed to sleep. I was not told about any side effects so I thought I was going fucking nuts.
Seriously, like loosing touch with reality.

I told the Dr. I was feeling terrible and he wanted to up my dose.
No dice. After about 3 weeks of hell, I just stopped cold turkey.
The withdrawal was not that bad considering the time I was on it.
Pretty much the same feeling as when i started.

I'm fine now back to flying and living a normal life.
