This is a report from memory of the most challenging trip I have had to date. I had taken acid about 5-6 times before in doses ranging from 75ug to 150ug. This most recent trip was the highest dose I have taken, from the strongest batch of acid I have had. This batch was also in the form of gel tabs, rather than paper, which I found I preferred. Exactly one week to the day before my 300ug trip, I took one gel tab at 150ug. It was a mellow trip.

At 300ug however, the experience changed drastically. I ingested this dose in stages, one 150ug tab at around 7:00-7:30 PM and another around 9:00 PM. The first two hours of the experience were exactly the same as my previous 150ug trip, and I was not surprised by this. I was enjoying myself, but was looking for a more visceral feeling and intense visuals, so I stuck with my plan to take 300ug. Around this time I am laughing with my brother while we show each other music, enjoying the pattern of his bearded dragon flow in waves down its tail, and the blankets around me melting away.

Before our trip began, we planned to take dabs with my brother's downstairs neighbor, and around 8:45 we are talking and planning for around 9:30. After ingesting the second tab, a mere 30-45 minutes went by before my come-up changed gears, and I quickly found myself in a state of heightened focus and awareness. I was weightless and moving effortlessly through my environment. The descent down the stairs to my brother's friend's apartment marked the beginning of a shift in my trip. I had a strange feeling that I was being presented a challenge. The breathing around me slowed down to nearly a stop and I was fully immersed in this moment with my brother. He is two years younger than me, and I would do anything for him. Under the influence of this acid, this brotherly bond has heightened to astronomical proportions.

We enter his friend's apartment and sit down in his room. We're talking, my brother is essentially on his way to the peak of his trip (this night he took another 300ug dose), and I am happily enjoying the conversation and visuals I am getting in the room. After we take dabs, the atmosphere in the room becomes a little heavier and I begin to notice shadows moving and breathing more than the lit environment around me. It becomes hard to focus on the conversation and I am mainly focused on breathing after completely tapping out on finishing the dab. Once my chest loosens, I am able to tell that my brother has had enough conversation, and around midnight we make our way back up to his apartment. We're rocking a bit on the way up the stairs, but still able to make our way to the door and inside quickly.

An incredible sense of relief washes over me and I take a seat on the couch in my brother's gaming room. He was slightly overstimulated so we were quiet for a few minutes, then, we stood up, and I was no longer in my body. This was the most profound feeling of derealization I have ever experienced. I was knocked from my center of gravity and stared at my brother in disbelief. He looked at me with a concerned face and I, with my natural flare for the dramatic, said "I'm high as fuck." And then again "No dude, I'm high as Fuck." This was a complete understatement, simply because I had not yet been shown exactly where this trip was going.

My brother and I sat down on the couch together (after the fact, he told me that the full force of the 300ug he took began to take hold once again), and we shared a moment of vulnerability in our stripped-down states. We held each other and asked for help, as our identities began to melt away, into only brother and brother. We forgot our names, I watched my life go by without him, and I felt at one with my brother. This elusive feeling of mutual acceptance and understanding that I had wanted for so long had finally dropped into my lap. When we discussed this moment after the fact, my brother used the word "merge" and I could not have said it better myself. For about 30-45 minutes after, we were sitting next to each other and enjoying each other's presence in a way only brothers can. Accepting that our trip would end soon and this feeling would be gone with it, but grateful it happened.
