I took kava many times before over the years, in many forms, Fijian traditional style, caps pills tincture and milkshake mix. But only this year has it been hard quitting. I've been taking huge amounts of strong extract every day and normally side effects would lead to me stopping naturally but without side effects I've spent thousands on kava over months. Fortunately no withdrawal but this stuff is more reinforcing/rewarding to me than alcohol. I know it's not good for my liver or skin. I'm finally abstaining from daily purchases today after about 90 days continuous kava intoxication.
