I complained about some minor nerve pain in my hand (which I do have but I slightly exaggerated) and was prescribed Lyrica (pregabalin) 75mg twice a day. I quickly went to the pharmacy to fill the script for generic pregabalin, when I had returned home I relaxed and researched pregabalin to get some more information although I have experience with high doses 900mg +, I found that apperently pregabalin absorbs faster on an empty stomach, the slow onset was always the biggest dissapointment for an enjoyable substance to me...

On an empty stomach I took a sheet of 14× 75mg generic pregabalin equating to 1050mg just over 1 gram which to inexpierienced users I would consider a very heavy dose but although I havnt taken pregabalin for over a week I find my tolerance hangs around, threshold for me is at least 300mg a recreational dose for me is 600mg+ which I would compare to a mild benzo 'buzz' but distinct and unique with much less euphoria and much less habit forming. I apoligize this is a summary of an expierence from a few weeks ago but I kept track of the time in the intrest of testing pregabalin and my tolerance.

After roughly an hour I slowly felt the beginnings of the pregabalin buzz in the form of relaxation and a slight lightness in my limbs, after another hour of watching uninteresting television that I was uncharecteristicly focused on I was definitely feeling a lightness sensation and stretching was rather enjoyable, after enjoying these effects for a while I stood up and decided to have a shower feeling slightly off balance which is a common side effect I get at larger doses.

I found the shower very enjoyable, the hot water almost feels like its massaging my skin, this was unexpected as I've never showered on this substance, I was also slightly swaying sort of like the off balance feeling of alcohol intoxication or a benzo like oxazepam but with much less mental inhibition, mentally I was feeling motivated and very pleased with the effects of this dose.

After the shower and roughly 3 hours since I took the dose I was feeling really off balance, as I walked I was bumping walls and my feet were tripping under me, mentally I was still feeling very motivated and unusually positive, I feel as if the physical effects were more noticeable but the mental effects were more pronounced than I was aware of at the time, for me I find pregabalin to have much less euphoria than alcohol or benzodiazepines but slightly reminiscent of the 'buzz' ftom such substances especially at higher doses.

In summary I believe these effects peaked around the two hour mark and plateaued for another hour before very slowly dissipating over the next 6 hours, overall it was a very enjoyable expierience at a dose I'm familliar with in different settings, I think taking the dose on an empty stomach improved the rate of absorption thus giving a more pronounced effect and being at home relaxing was different to being out and working on similair doses where I noticed similair poor coordination less muscle relaxation and more of a talkative 'rush' and energy almost similair to low dose amphetamine.

In the future I dont look to try much larger doses, I find 900mg to be an enjoyable dose that gives much the same effects with less coordination problems which can be dangerous.
