DOSE:
100 mg oral Pharms - Tramadol (pill / tablet)
BODY WEIGHT: 172 lb
I've been suffering from intermittent gallbladder pain for about seven years. Because I do not want to have surgery, it has become a regular occurrence for me to experience “attacks” several times a year. In my case, an attack typically lasts from four to six hours, and can range in pain from about 4 to 8 on a 1 - 10 scale.

Previously, a doctor prescribed Tylenol with codeine which never did much to give me relief even when, out of desperation, I would take double the prescribed dosage. I would basically have to lie down and suffer until the attack ran its course.

A little over a year ago, a different doctor prescribed Tramadol for joint pain I’d been experiencing with rheumatoid arthritis. Fortunately, I am responding well to the other medication he prescribed to alleviate my RA flare-ups so I never had to resort to using Tramadol for that purpose. The tablets remained unused for several months.

Then, I had a gallbladder attack and decided to give the Tramadol a try. I took two 50 mg tablets, and experienced complete relief from pain in less than an hour after taking the medication. As far as I am concerned this stuff is great.

That said, I have never experienced anything that I would call a high from Tramadol. No doubt this is due to the fact that I do not take a dosage that is higher than what was recommended by my doctor. About the only effect other than pain relief that I have noticed is a slight mental fuzziness that is not enough to really impact my daily activities.

I only wish I’d been prescribed this medication initially. It would have saved me a great deal of suffering.
