Just a little background on my substance use before we get to the DMT report: I would consider myself highly experienced in the use of psychoactive substances. I am a daily cannabis user and have used (sometimes to excess) nearly every psychoactive substance known to man; from nicotine to analog PCP, and just about everything else in between. In the year leading up to this experience, I had become heavily engrossed in the use of LSD and the newer, typical psychedelic RCs like 25i. At this point in my psychonaut experience, I had embraced a spiritual yet scientific mindset with a particular interest in the extraterrestrials.

Still up from the night before and still tripping from the most intense LSD dose I have ever experienced (I estimate I took between 500-1000 micrograms but I am not certain, it was “eye-balled” from a vial), I arrived home from my college course around 11am. I had tripped so hard the night before, I wasn’t even sure life on this plane was still worth living. It was spring and sunny out; all around a great day. The friend who had provided the LSD the night before drove me home from class. When we got to my house she said, “Hey I also have some DMT, I won’t even charge you for it if you want it”. DMT being an experience I had longed to try, I graciously accepted her gift! She handed me an orangish-white powder about the volume of a marble, maybe a little more, tied into the corner of a baggy.

Luckily I had just purchased a wooden, battery powered vaporizer which I had intended to use for cannabis. It hadn’t worked well for vaporizing cannabis, but I quickly realized it was the perfect capacity and vaping temperature to accommodate the DMT I had just received. I won’t mention the vaporizer by name, but let’s just say its name coincides very well with vaporizing DMT. I realized the connection a few weeks after the experience. As I said before, LSD was still active in my system from the night before when I began my DMT experience. I had also smoked a large amount of cannabis about 3 hours prior to the experience. I had read various trip reports on DMT, but I did not enter into the experience with any particular expectations. I immediately sat down in my room and loaded the vape box with the DMT. I vaporized the entire contents of the baggy and inhaled it into my lungs in one hit, holding it for at least about 20 seconds. I’m not sure how much DMT I actually inhaled, but apparently it was enough!

My body started to shake and there was a strange buzzing/whirring noise which steadily grew louder; the next thing I knew I felt like I was rapidly moving through outer-space and I could no longer see my body. Stars or lights were whizzing by; reminiscent of “light speed”. Then after what felt like about a second, I was in an energy field of some type in a large room; my vision was slightly blurry and tinted red. There were three entities in the room with me. I still could not see any part of my body. I was looking out of a large window onto what looked like Earth from outer space. As soon as I made that observation in my head, one of these beings telepathically said that it was not Earth, but actually it was their home planet. The other two beings remained silent; one seemed to operating some sort of controls at a podium and the other was merely observing. The same being that initially spoke then said (again telepathically) - word for word - 'FEAR NOT OUR SON! CONTINUE ON YOUR PATH, AND DO NOT WORRY BECAUSE YOU ARE TAKEN CARE OF.' Then I was back in my body, no longer in a psychedelic state, and completely and utterly baffled.

The whole experience occurred in what felt like about 30 seconds. I had the experience alone and I was too awed to check a clock in reality to see how long I had actually been gone.

Looking back on it, I think the entities I encountered were the proverbial Grey aliens. They had the exact shape of them, but were shrouded in shadows with glowing red eyes.

The whole experience seemed to line up perfectly, as if it was directed to happen by a higher power. To this day over 5 years later, I have yet to have a more profound experience. But then again, the universe has yet to direct any more DMT my way!
