DOSE:
T+ 0:00
20 oz oral Poppies - Opium (tea)
  T+ 2:08 8 g oral Amanitas - A. muscaria (tea)
BODY WEIGHT: 225 lb
I'll start this off by saying I have significant experience with many psychoactive substances, from Marijuana to LSD to Cocaine to Heroin. However, I had not previously experienced the Amanita mushrooms. I wasn't really interested in them as a waking high but was profoundly interested in them for their effects of dreams. I decided to buy some from a reliable supplier on the interwebs as I had been interested (and a little afraid to be honest). I also frequently buy bulk Poppy seeds online as well. The mushrooms came a few days before the seeds did, but I wanted to have both in my possession before I took the mushrooms so that if I didn't like the effects I could try to kill the experience with the opium tea like I have done on Psilocybin mushrooms.

When I got the mushrooms they were already dried but I decided to dry them out further by sticking them in the oven at 175°F for about 15 minutes and when I took them out they were a dry as a cracker. I bagged them up and waited for my Poppy seeds arrive.

A few days later my seeds arrived but I had developed cold feet and decided to wait a while to eat any. But I was excited to take some more of my beloved tea.

I took 3 and a half measuring cups of Poppy seeds, put them into a large drinking glass and filled it with warm water till it was about 2' above the seeds and then I added a shot glass worth of lemon juice. I let it sit for about 3-5 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. After the water turned nice and brownish-yellow I strained out all the seeds. Then I mixed it with pink lemonade to help mask the taste. I quickly drank down the tea and waited for that warm, fuzzy, euphoric feeling to come.

About 30 minutes later I was definitely feeling the opium tea. I started watching That 70s Show and just enjoying the feeling. After an hour and a half after I drank the tea I was experiencing a strong opium high and was nodding out a bit, but not very strong. Not strong enough to worry about overdosing.

My inhibitions must have been lowered and I was feeling a bit brave so I changed my mind on the mushrooms. I could tell that before long I would go to bed while I still felt warm and euphoric, so I decided to eat about 8 grams of the amanitas. The taste was pretty bad, despite reading that the taste was pretty good so it was hard to get them down, especially while nodding. I kinda figured they might not work at all with the Morphine already working strong. But I had an ounce and figured if it didn't work that I could still try again another night and worst case, I get some decent sleep without any dreams like I normal would. I also figured best-case I would have more memorable dreams but nothing crazy vivid or lucid. I was wrong.

After I choked down the amanitas and quickly laid down for bed. It couldn't have been more than 30 minutes before I eventually drifted off. And thus began the craziest dreams I ever had. I will attempt to describe the dreams to the best of my abilities.

I suddenly woke up in my bed and as usual the first thing I did was look at the time. It was 1:25 PM, just after noon. I attempted to get up but found myself having a difficult time using my legs and arms. It felt like they had gone completely numb but I managed to get up and go to my bathroom for a shower. I tried turning the water on but for some reason it didn't work. A bit confused by it but figured it wasn't worth the effort to try and fix it so instead decided I'd go outside for a smoke. After all, it was the middle of the day and before I went to the bathroom it was sunny and warm looking out. Odd for the middle of November, but it didnt cross my mind. Except when I opened my bathroom door I saw that it was suddenly pitch dark outside. I was really confused and decided to check the time again. This is when I realized I was actually dreaming. The clock read (and I remember this very vividly) 15:3h. I knew something was off as we don't use 24 hour format and that 3h was not a time of day. I realized suddenly that I must be dreaming and just as quickly as I realized I felt my body lock up and I fell forward onto my face. And I 'woke up'.

I say 'woke up' because I woke lying on my back, in the dirt, surrounded by trees, in the middle of a forest (again, in reality I was sleeping in my bed at home). This forest was not a normal forest and I realized something was wrong but the memory of taking Amanita was totally wiped from my brain so I didn't know why it was so strange. But the forest was patchy. Not in the sense that there were patches of openness between the trees, but that different areas of the forest were in different seasons. I walked through the forest for a couple minutes, watching as the forest would be in the middle of summer, but as I walked some of the trees had red/yellow/brown leaves as if they were in the middle of autumn, and then the next patch would have budding leaves and flowers like early spring and then a few steps later they would be covered in snow that just appeared, and the trees were bare of leaves. It all seemed so strange but I couldn't remember if this was how it normally is. I thought perhaps it was just normal for seasons to come and go and skip around within just a few minutes. I didn't think I was dreaming at this point and like I said, the memory of taking anything was totally gone so I assumed this was just how nature worked despite feeling it was somehow wrong. But I could oddly enough still feel like warm euphoria of morphine going through me so I wasn't particularly worried about it.

I kept walking through this strange forest while trying to figure out where I was, until I found something most beautiful. It was a big pond in a part of the 'summer forest'. It had a nice little stream coming from it. Like the water was flowing out of the pond and up this stream that was going uphill. This didn't phase me or seem strange but by this point I was just kinda going with it. This is where the dream got very trippy and psychedelic. I remember sticking a finger in the edge of the pond to check its temperature but when I did the water didn't ripple in a normal way. I knew it was wrong and it made me think I was tripping, awake but tripping. Instead of rippling outwards from my finger, the water rippled in a very intricate and geometrical way, starting at the edge of the pond and moving to my finger. Almost as if it was a video played in reverse, but way more geometrical. I removed my finger as this startled me but the ripples didn't cease. Instead they intensified. The ripples started appearing very quickly and almost violently, focusing into singular points randomly on the surface of the pond. At one point they even stopped coming to the surface and instead were in random places even under the water. I don't know how to explain how I could see underwater ripples but it was really beautiful looking, even though it was intense and a bit frightening.

This continued for what seemed like an hour as I was totally absorbed in the beautiful geometrical ripples appearing in the water, getting more and more intense. When all of a sudden the ripples left the water completely and started to affect the air. The trees. The ground. Me. I could feel the ripples flow through me and my surrounding. Picking up energy from everything it went through, I could see the world through the eyes of a tree, the dirt, the water, the air all at once and for only a second or two at a time.

And then I heard it. It sounded so profound and angelic. The most beautiful sound in the world. 'rrribit'... Ripples of my surrounding... 'rrribit'... Ripples of the world focusing in on this one sound... 'rrribit'...
I was the sound of a frog. But not just any frog. It was the frog responsible for everything I was experiencing. I realized in that moment of hearing it but not seeing it, that this frog was the cause of the changing seasons, of the pond's existence, and the geometrical ripples of everything that kept flowing though.

I needed to find this frog. It was my spirit animal. I walked around the pong trying to find this frog while being disoriented by the ripples and view of the world from everything that wasn't me. I couldn't find it and I remember getting very panicky. I felt the need for water so I leaned down for a moment to try and get a drink from the pond, when I saw it. Sitting at the bottom of the pond, and it was glowing slightly with a lovely green glow. I said to myself 'of course! That's where the ripples started! This is your home!'
So I reach into the pond and help out my hand. The frog climbed into my palm and I started pulling it out of the pond but when it got to the surface the glowing suddenly became too bright and intense that I couldn't see it. This made me sad as all I wanted to do was look at it clearly. I couldn't see it above the water either since the glow was obscuring it as well as the ripples taking me out of my own view. I let it go and it went back to the center of the pond. I knew what I had to do to see it. And I jumped right into the pond.

It seemed the pond was huge when I went it and all over the edge was covered in colorful geometrical patterns and visuals and I noticed the ripples had become warm waves of morphine euphoria. It felt amazing and looked even more beautiful than anything I'd ever seen. It didn't even dawn on me that I was able to breathe underwater at this point. Everything was too beautiful and euphoric to notice.

And that's when I saw the frog clearly. It was a mutant. It had mushrooms growing out of its back and had spots all over it that were oozing what appeared to be opium. The closer I'd get to it the more intense the euphoria would become. I couldn't grab it. It was too euphoric to stand. But I'm glad I didn't because after a few seconds it started to split in half, and into two separate frogs. And then they split to four, and then 8 then 16 and so forth. It was extremely intricate and patterned. It was like psychedelic visuals represented as frogs. They started to multiply so quick and covered the bottom of the pond. And they kept splitting until they started to come out of the water and formed a circular bubble of frogs surrounding me but not touching me. Eventually all I could see was psychedelic frogs all around me while I basically exploded in opiate euphoria. It was an was amazing feeling.

The last thing I remember of the dream was all the frogs turning to look at me. Hundreds of eyes of trippy little frogs staring right at me. I still felt amazing but was beginning to get scared at how many were just staring at me. And then they all jumped on me. All at once. Hundreds of frogs covered every inch of my body. The euphoria was too much. To the point it was almost unpleasant. I couldn't handle the euphoria. It was simply to much to deal with so I passed out. Everything went blank with blackness for a few seconds. And then I heard someone say 'Don't feed the frogs, man. They'll never leave you alone if you do.'

And than BAM! I shot straight up in my bed like when you have one of those dreams where you fall out of a shopping cart and wake up covered in sweat and fear. I looked at the clock and it said it was 5:30am. I got up, used the bathroom, and did a few tests to see if I was actually awake, and I found that I actually was awake for real this time. I was a little relieved to be awake and back in reality. The euphoria from the opiates was long gone by then (which makes sense since it was about 10 hours after I took the amanitas). I went back to bed and woke up the next morning feeling rested and refreshed.

I'll say that it was definitely the oddest experience I think I ever had and one of the most euphoric as well. However I don't think I'm gonna experiment with them again for a long while as it was incredibly intense as well as confusing as most of the time I was unaware of why it was happening. It was almost impossible to remember I had taken anything. I'm not sure how safe it actually is taking amanitas with Morphine. But overall it was an enjoyable and memorable experience.
