Previous Experiences with Stimulants:
-Around 100 recreational doses of Dexedrine (Dextroamphetamine) in total, ranging from 10mg to 40mg at once.
-Moderate experience with (And thus tolerance to) nicotine. This was used in tandem with prior Dexedrine experiences.

Substances used:
-Four 35mg doses of 3-FPM, administered via insufflation once every one and a half hours, with the first taken at 11:10 P.M. Tuesday night. 2 additional 35 mg doses were administered at 1:50 P.M. Wednesday afternoon and 7:00 P.M. Wednesday night. The 3-FPM used was a light, white crystalline powder resembling the look of Splenda ® sugar substitute. Purity was rated at 'over 99.90'.
- 1.8 mL of 18mg strength nicotine e-Liquid (One clearomizer full), as repeated hits throughout the whole experience
-Sleep deprivation of 34 hours, with the experience starting at the 12 hour mark

The experience:
11:00 P.M.- After I knew I wasn’t allergic to the 3-FPM, I sat down at my desk with my computer, and got ready to begin an all-nighter consisting of me writing a letter to my significant other (The last time I did this was a year prior, on Dexedrine. I thought that repeating this would give me the opportunity to closely compare the two stimulants effect on my fatigue, motivation, and cognitive abilities).

11:10 P.M. - I am feeling motivated and awake, prior to my first dose of 3FPM. I measure out 35mg of the white powder, wet the inside of my nose with some nasal decongestant, and lean down to sniff up the pea-and-a-half sized bump. When it enters my nose, it causes significant burning and discomfort, to the point that my eye waters. Let the night begin.

11:20 P.M. to 8:30 A.M. - By the time the 3-FPM has taken effect about 5 minutes later, the burning in my nose has subsided to nothing, and the drip is nearly non-existent. The effects of the 3-FPM alone provided a clean and clear-headed rush with plenty of concentration, motivation, and a gentle sense of euphoria. Finding words and creating complex patterns in my writing was much easier and more interesting than at baseline. I didn’t find my brain being overwhelmed with thought during my writing, and it was easy to keep on task. Vaping my e-Cig in combination with this made for a good balance of wakefulness and relaxation, and didn’t cause any significant rises in heart rate. It is important to note, however, that I do not have any pre-existing heart conditions.

As the night went on, I found myself re-dosing 4 times, once around every hour and a half.
I found myself re-dosing 4 times, once around every hour and a half.
My re-dosing was not to stave off the onset of any unpleasant comedown symptoms or abrupt loss of drive, but rather marked by an awareness that I was no longer as stimulated and that I was coming back down to baseline. I simply wanted to feel more stimulated again. At no point, actually, did I feel any kind of significant comedown; I was able to stay alert and awake the whole night, with near total focus on my letter.

8:30 A.M. to 8 P.M. - Around 8:30 A.M., I decided to begin to taper off and took my last consecutive dose, saving the last two doses I had remaining, for later on in the day. I continued to vape my eCig, as I had been doing the whole night alongside my 3-FPM. It was still adding to the positive effects of the trip at this point. I wrapped up the writing of my letter around 10 A.M., expecting a typical stimulant crash from the night’s repeated doses of 3-FPM. Rather than this, I found myself sitting back in my chair as waves of soft and pleasurable relaxation swept over me. Instead of the typical down mood, anxiety, and anhedonia that manifest in the comedown from stronger psychostimulants, 3-FPM with some nicotine from a vaporizer left me in a sedated, dreamy state with what could be best described as muscle relaxant properties. The drawback of this, however, is that it left me extremely lethargic and unwilling to engage in many activities or duties that day; I viewed this overall as a positive experience, but will note that it could be an inappropriate mindset for an important, busy day. Eventually, I fell asleep having gone through a relatively relaxed day on Wednesday night.

Summary: The 3-FPM experience, coupled with casual nicotine vaporizing and sleep deprivation, proved to be a much cleaner and smoother one than that of Dexedrine, nicotine, and sleep deprivation. All in all, it provided a comparable amount of motivation and euphoria while not being overwhelming and overstimulating. The comedown was also much gentler and even enjoyable; While Dexedrine comedown could be compared to a crash landing, 3-FPM would be comparable to a smooth landing with a few bumps along the runway. While I found myself battling with occasional dysphoria on Dexedrine, these same moments were greatly reduced in frequency and duration on 3-FPM, and when they did come they were easy to overcome by simply changing my current thought pattern. All in all, I believe 3-FPM to be a great stand in for amphetamines. Perhaps one day, it could have potential as an alternative ADHD/ Parkinsonian drug.
