It's about 10pm, I struggle to sleep due to recovering from an opiate addiction (1 month clean) and recently discovered Etizolam. I'm not looking to sleep, I'm looking to be 'not-sober' for the night. So far every night I've done this I pass out and wake up at around 5am in my basement. I don't remember anything that happened those nights, so I figured I'd write this for others to know what it's like (and for myself since I never remember). Especially since one time I blacked out and took 45mg Etizolam and had no memory of it. Anyway, here it goes...

T:9:50 - Took 1.2mg Etizolam (empty stomach).

T:10:10 - Starting to feel the sedating effects creeping up. Body feels slightly heavier, I'm a little more comfortable and warm/fuzzy. Only slightly, comparable to an oral opiate onset to a lesser extent. No other noticeable effects yet.

T:10:15 - Sedation and comfort have increased slightly. Vision is slowing slightly, comparable to maybe 3-4 shots of 80-proof vodka. Motor skills are definitely impaired. I feel sober enough to drive, but I'd without a doubt fail a sober-test I'd pulled over. Walking in a straight line foot-to-foot is a struggle, but not impossible.

T :10:30 - Vision is definitely lagging behind now. Any and all anxiety is gone, although I'm not a very anxious person to begin with. I seem to only be able to focus on one thing at a time. I am either focusing solely on typing this, or zoning out staring at the TV not really watching it. Commercials are on and I barely remember what I was watching. Time seems to be flying though, it seems like it has been 10 minutes not 40.

T:10:35 - Nearly tripped walking up a flight of stairs, movement definitely impaired.

Strangely enough I feel as though I'm walking fine, as well as speaking fine. I'm told I'm walking as if I was slightly drunk and speaking slower that usual. Again, I feel relatively sober however.

T:10:35 - Took another 0.6mg Etizolam. Now at 1.8mg total.

T:10:50 - Body movements are severely slowed down, like a sloth. I'm not watching TV anymore so much as I'm zoning out while staring at it. It's like tunnel vision, I don't really notice anything around me.

T:11:00 - I'm taking another 0.6mg Etizolam. This drug really has a moreish feel to it, in that I feel like I'm chasing a high (or down in this case?) constantly. Very dangerous, be careful with it.

T:11:10 - Not following my own advice, I just took another 0.6mg Etizolam (2.4mg total). Effects feel about the same as previously, however.

T:11:20 - Experiencing memory loss. I just went through the notes I've made so far and don't remember dosing one time. Apparently I am at 3mg Etizolam, not 2.4mg...careful with this drug.

*Conclusion*
I'm going to sleep to avoid blacking out and taking all my Etizolam again.
Effects currently:
*Sedated
*Warm/fuzzy
*Comfortable
*Tired
*Zoning out
*Lack of focus
*Lack of anxiety
*Memory loss (if not logged I'd have no clue how many times I've redosed)
*Music is enhanced
*More talkative

So all in all, not a huge recreational drug in my opinion. At high doses if I want to waste a night away and not remember it and just want to get through life/forget about my worries then this is a great drug. At low doses this drug does wonders for anxiety.
