I got my hands on some Kratom. I am a heroin addict and throughout the day I was consuming my normal amount of H intravenously so to remain normal/get a little high. I decided to see if the Kratom would intensify the effects of the opiates and/or have its own different opiate effect upon me. I also drink beer everyday 6-10 depending on what I'm doing. I drank two before 7 p.m. (when I took the Kratom) and also had a nice H shot at that time as well.

30 minutes in - feel different then just the normal opiate high. Slight euphoria, a tiny bit of good fuzzyness in my head. I'm typing this report and going to go read while paying attention to the effects of Kratom while trying to differentiate it from what I normally would be feeling.

Hour - Feeling persists somewhat. Ate a little bit of food and had another beer. Beginning to think that my opiate tolerance is hindering the effects.

After- The effects wore off within a few hours. I kept up my regular H usage doing no more or less then I would usually do. I did end up getting a little irritable about 3-4 hours after I took them.

Conclusion: I would have to say that if a person has an opiate tolerance already that Kratoms effects are lessened considerably. It was pretty enjoyable for about 30-60 minutes though. I'm going to repeat this again tmrw with the liquid extract which I'd imagine is much more potent. The risk of OD'ing with the extract is almost nil now since I know I have a high tolerance for Kratom so I feel a little better about experimenting with the extract.
