I've been enjoying opiates for about 6 years and had my first IV experience about 6 months ago and have injected off-and-on since them. I've tried virtually all the commonly available opiates (except heroin) and depending on my mood, will either go for the longer, less intense rush with oral tablets or the intense, short-lived rush that IV gives me,

About 2 weeks ago, a friend who works at an urgent care clinic was able to get three 100mg vials of Demerol injection. Since this were sealed vials for injection and since most reports suggest Demerol sucks orally, I waited for the right time to try these.

Yesterday, we started on a tattoo that will cover my back. We need to do the outline in one go, so I spent 7 hours getting tattooed. In the end, I was exhausted and sore - great time to try out the Demerol.

I got home, got out a clean syringe, and drew up 200mg (2 vials). This is a pretty high dose, but I have a decent tolerance and usually IV 8-12mg of Dilaudid. I sat down on my bed and cleaned my antecubital vein. My veins are pipes so I can get away without tying off. I registered and pushed in the juice. When about 1/4 of the original 3cc's was left, I pulled back, let blood flow back into the syringe (didn't want to waste anything) and finished the push.

I started to feel it just as I took the needle out. The floating/tingling feeling began within 10 seconds. I quickly slapped on a band-aid, I tried to reposition myself but the feeling was so intense I couldnt coordinate my movements. Not wanting to fall, I just laid back in the bed. In about 30 seconds, my whole body felt electric and I felt this intense (but not uncomfortable) pressure in my chest.

I laid there just enjoying the sensation for about 5 minutes, then it began to pass and was replaced with the milder, warm hug I get from opiates. Within about 90 minutes I was almost back to baseline.
