After years and years of feeding my percocet addiction (which stems from breaking my back more than once while in my youth years), I finally moved up to the big leagues.

The first time I ever indulged on that brown powder was during a Wednesday at work. I had been doing percs for as long as I can remember, though it wasn't an everyday thing. I did a couple (30mgs) pills every weekend or so, and usually left myself 1 or 2 to do sparingly throughout the week. However, I had just started a new job, and our company owner's son was somebody I had known since I was in about middle school, and always knew him to be addicted to either coke or heroin. So I figured I'd ask him to see if he knew a place I could find my beans for cheap, and to my surprise, he had suggested I try brown and that he could get me a G that day within the hour, delivered to us at work. So needless to say, I obliged. I got my gram (which I've learned now after buying countless g's that it was SHORT as hell). Took it to the bathroom (where I already had my opiate survival kit ready consisting of tin foil, trimmed straw and lighter), and started blazing away one little bit at a time. By the time I got through about 1/3 of it, I felt it. I felt that warm tidal wave sweep me off my feet. Better than any perc I had ever slid and even better than any orgasm ever. Now, that's saying a lot because I used to be a sex fiend before I graduated college.

The rush I felt from the dope instantly made me hooked. Now, it's still not something I do all the time as I am a firm believer in moderation.

Now with every high comes a withdrawal, which is also part of taking the drug. Which is the ONLY downside, I've found, to taking smack. The withdrawal is utterly terrible. If you've ever felt depressed, multiply it by 100 and that's just the first symptom of heroin withdrawal. Mix that with the feeling of having the flu, and you've got yourself a person who cannot function. Which I can say, after weekend long binges, Monday at work is not easy. It's very tough to stomach the pain as it eats away at me while I try to act happy-go-lucky at work trying to crank out my normal flow of work. I am an engineer, so it is especially tough for people like me who need to do countless calculations throughout each day. Just getting the energy to type in numbers on the calculator is hard enough, never mind trying to come up with my own equations to try and solve a tough problem.

Anyways, that having been said, I have never been more productive than when I am high. It's like a creative gift being on heroin. It jogs the mind in a way only a recreational drug can. It makes me think irrationally, while using logic to get there. It allowed me to suppress my real logic and think outside of the box, which in turn, allowed me to dream up prototype designs that would have never come about without the use of heroin. And these are parts that very large companies use and distribute widely. A bunch of the designs I put out (and are in circulation now throughout the known world) were dreamt up and made while I was high on heroin.

I've never actually shot it up, which most people say that's how you're really supposed to feel the effects, however, I pass out just at the sight of a needle, so I don't think I'd ever be able to IV it. Smoking on the other hand... :)
