The night starts after work as a janitor vacuuming floors and singing Native church songs. My wife and I prepare a wonderful mean so that is ready when we feel hungry a long time from now. We both did not eat from at least 6 hours before the sacrament. Then we take the sacrament which we prepare in a secret yet very effective way. Around 35 gram is our standard cactus meeting.

We are part of a sect of the Native American church or that is how I was introduced at 18 or so. We follow not only Central American peyote religion but also South American shamanism. We have cactus songs, prayer, feather fans and water drum. We also have a living alter to our religion with is a fusion of these faiths.

This night we start as we always do with some sickness which goes away after about 45minutes. We then start our songs and then take a break for a foot massage. The sacrament leaves a very bitter flavor around ones mouth we have come to find special.

Total journey 10-12 hrs religious peak 3hrs but last much longer
