I took 20 robitussin 15mg gelcaps (no other active ingredients), last night at a friend's house. My only previous drug experiences were with cannabis. Expecting a much more intense experience, I found a nice dark and quiet room and settled in for an interesting night, and proceeded to take the capsules. I waited for a half hour or so and began to feel a bit tingly and disoriented. This subsided after a short while. I continued waiting and expecting the trip to become more intense, but it never did. Later on in the night I began having severe diarrhea. I didn't experience any intestinal discomfort, save for some gurgling, but I ended up using the bathroom about 5 times. This morning I woke with a slight headache, probably due to dehydration from the diarrhea.

I should have been well within the 2nd plateau as the dosage came to about 4.2 mg/kg, but I've had much more intense experiences just from small amounts of cannabis, which doesn't have the unpleasant side-effects. I assume I'd need to substantially increase my dose for any sort of interesting experience, but given the side-effects, I'm not going to try.

It would seem that DXM is not for me.
