Bits & Pieces

The "Bits & Pieces" section is intended for random snippets of information which don't fit
easily elsewhere and/or which have been newly added, but not yet carefully categorized.

  • Mephedrone
The name "Mephedrone" appears to have been coined by one or more Internet-based vendors of 4-Methylmethcathinone. (unconfirmed).
  • Neo Doves
It is sometimes speculated on Internet forums that 4-Methylmethcathinone is the primary ingredient in pills sold as "Neo Doves" (unconfirmed).
  • Hagigat
Some have speculated that pills formerly sold at discothèques in Israel under the name "Hagigat" contained 4-Methylmethcathinone. It appears that the primary ingredient in some (most? all?) pills sold as Hagigat was in fact synthetically-produced cathinone (see Cathinone Vault). In January 2005 Israel outlawed cathinone use, apparently in response to the growing use of Hagigat. (see JC.com article)
